Zamfara: 8 Police Constables dismissed for negligence                                                              

In Zamfara State, eight Police Constables have been dismissed for negligence of duty.

The acting Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr Umaru Manko told the news Agency of Nigeria that another Police man was demoted for the same offence.

Mr Manko explained that the affected Policemen faced orderly room trial and were found guilty of the offences before action was taken against them.

He said five of the affected Policemen were sacked for abandoning their duty posts on the Gusau-Shinkafi road when they were informed that armed robbers planned to attack motorists along the road.
