Minister inaugurates c’ttee for privatisation of nation’s airport

modalities for the privatisation of the nation’s airports has been set up.

The Minister of State Air Transportation Mr Felix Hyat stated this in an interview in Abuja.
The Minister said privatising the nation’s airports will allow government to concentrate on other areas of social development.

He said the Committee will commence work as soon as the Federal Government puts in place the legal framework for the programme of privatisation.

Mr Hyat gave an assurance that the delays being experience by passengers at the Murtala Mohammed Airport will be over as soon as the second run way is completed.

He called on Airline Operators of Nigeria, AON; to clear their debts with the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria – FAAN – to enable for improve services.
