Legal Aid DG pledges rule of law to prevail

The Legal Aid Council of Nigeria says it will work towards making the rule of law to prevail in the country.

 

 

The Director General of the Council, Mrs Nwakaku Laetitia Akinlani stated this when the Executive member of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, paid a courtesy call to the Council.

Mrs Akinlani said the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria represented the voice for the voiceless in the country, adding that the Council is for the masses.

In his remark, the National President of the Road Transport Employers Association, Chief Abubakar Sadiq said the Association would collaborate with the Council in resolving crisis facing the association.

Chief Abubakar called on the Council to prevail on the Ministry of Labour, Nigeria Police and others fueling the crisis in RTEAN to have respect for the rule of law.
