Wife attempts to defraud husband

A middle aged woman, Mrs. Faith Samuel has been arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command for allegedly attempting to defraud her husband of five million Naira.

The Police Commissioner, Mr. Yomi Onasile told journalists in Ado-Ekiti that the woman tricked her Lagos based husband that she was pregnant.
Her new status was said to have made the husband to increase his love and care for her.

However when the suspect was due for delivery, she raised a false alarm to the Police, claiming that her one-month old baby had been kidnapped by unknown persons.
According to the Police Commissioner, Faith told the wealthy husband that the child abductors were demanding a five million Naira ransom to release the baby.

Luck ran for Faith when in the course of Police investigations a doctor’s examination revealed that she had never been pregnant.
