Israel/Indonesia to support Nigeria‘s quest for seat in UNSC - Speaker

The Speaker of the House of Representatives,
 

Mr. Dimeji Bankole, wants Israel and Indonesia, to support Nigeria’s quest for a seat, in the United Nation’s Security Council.

 Speaking, when Ambassadors of the two countries, to Nigeria paid him a courtesy call, the Speaker noted that it was proper for the country to be represented in the UN Security Council in recognition of her prominent role towards ensuring global security.
Mr Bankole said that Nigeria would support any initiative that would bring peace to the Middle East, especially between Israel and Palestine.

Earlier, the Indonesian Ambassador, Mr Nurnadi Ijazuli solicited Nigeria’s support for the Speaker of his country’s House of Representative, Mr Agugu Laksono, who is contesting for President of the Inter- Parliamentary Union, later this year.

His counterpart from Israel, Moshe Ram told Mr Bankole that his country was desirous of strengthening relations with Nigeria.
