Uranta calls on Nigerians to show interest in public finance

Nigerians must henceforth take active interest in how public finance is being utilized.

The Head, Nigeria Budget Monitoring Project, Mr. Kingsley Uranta, told Radio Nigeria in Abuja during a Cartoon Exhibition entitled “ Humour in Accountability”, that such an attitude would ensure probity and efficient use public funds.

Mr Uranta explained that the goal of the project was to train journalists to report public finance issues accurately.

One of the participants in the exhibition, Akinfelu Abiodun, expressed the hope that it would guide society on the path of justice and transparency.
 
Correspondent reports that the exhibition which features about seventy works of twelve cartoonists is expected to last one week.
