ELECTION REFORMS: Kofi Annan due in Kenya to assess progress
Former UN Secretary – General Kofi Annan is due in Kenya to assess progress on post – election reforms.
Mr. Annan was instrumental in negotiating a power–sharing deal which resolved the conflict after inter-ethnic post election violence had killed more than one thousand people.
He will spend several days meeting top politicians, diplomats, members of civil society and business leaders.
Reports say Mr. Annan is likely to be extremely disappointed at the lack of progress.
