Anambra: A faction of PDP seeks recognition of the party’s NWC

A factional Executive of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State is seeking the recognition of the party’s National Working Committee.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by a delegation of the faction to the party’s National Secretariat, the Factional Chairman, Mr Bright Nebedum, insisted that only his Executive was elected at the state congress held on the 28 of January this year. He however stressed the need for reconciliation.

Mr Nebedum faulted the approach of the other faction for refusing to seek redress in the Congress Appeal Tribunal.

Responding, the National Chairman who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Bello Mohammed, promised to look into the issues and to come up with a decision that would further strengthen the Party

Political Correspondent, Dan Ede reports that the delegation included PDP Chieftains in the state, including a former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Andy Uba.
