World Bank to introduce the 3rd phase of Fadama Project

The World Bank is to introduce the third phase of Fadama Project in August this year.

 

Communications Specialist of the World Bank Office in Nigeria, Mr Obadiah Tohomdet told Radio Nigeria that the Bank would fund the project with two hundred and fifty million U.S. Dollars while a counterpart fund of two hundred million U.S. Dollars would be provided by the Federal, States and Local Governments as well as the communities involved.

Mr Tohomdet speaks further on the components of the Fadama three projects.
The World Bank, Nigeria Communications Specialist stated that the Fadama Three Project was introduced because of the success recorded in the previous ones.

Correspondent reports that the first Fadama Project was introduced by the World Bank in Nigeria in 1991.
