Minister of Information and Communications tasks BBC

Nigeria's Minister of Information and Communications , Mr John Odey wants the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, to establish an exchange Programme for the staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, their counterparts in the NTA and other media organisations.

Receiving some senior staff of BBC in Abuja, the Minister said such Programme would facilitate better understanding of cultures and traditions of Nigeria and Britain.

Mr Odey urged the BBC team to advice their reporters on the need to be objective, while reporting events in Nigeria.
