C’ttee on information calls on NOA to ensure inclusion of national values

The House Committee on Information and National Orientation has called on the National Orientation Agency to ensure the inclusion of national philosophy and values in the country’s educational curricular to promote patriotism, hard work and selflessness in the younger generation.

 

The Chairman of the Committee, Honourable Dino Melaye made the call when he led other members of the committee to the Agency on its oversight functions.

Honourable Melaye decried the falling standard of knowledge and values to the incursion of ethnicity and disunity.

The committee which expressed satisfaction with the activities of the Agency stated its willingness to move the Agency back to the Ministry of Information for optimum performance.

In his welcome address, the Director General of the Agency, Alhaji Idi Faruk reiterated the Agency’s commitment towards mobilizing the citizenry on government’s 7-point agenda for national development.
