Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau has given an assurance that the on-going efforts to eradicate polio in the state will be pursued vigorously.
The Governor gave the assurance when he received the Director-General of National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Titilayo Koleoso who visited him in Kano.
Governor Shekarau said his administration has committed a lot of resources toward making the state polio-free and promised to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to achieve the target.
Speaking earlier, the Director-General National Health Development Agency, Dr Titilayo Koleoso said she was in the state to assess the progress recorded in polio eradication and noted with delight the significant reduction of polio cases in the state.
