NDLEA arrests 30yr old Nigerian for trafficking in drugs

Chinedu has been arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos for allegedly trafficking in hard drugs.

A statement signed by Mitchell Ofoyeju, the Public Affairs Officer of NDLEA, said the suspect was arrested during boarding of passengers on Alitalia to Milan.

According to Mr. Ofoyeju, the suspect accepted that he swallowed one hundred wraps of Cocaine for a fee of six thousand Euros.

The suspect was based in Viaquadri Pad Ova, Italy for the past ten years where he worked as a welder in a construction Company.

Gabriel Chinedu, a native of Umuawah in Isi Ala –Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State, had come to Nigeria for his marriage which took place on the 29th of December 2007 and was going back to Italy after his honeymoon when he was arrested.
