A sixteen member Committee to reform the Nigerian Police Force has been set up.
The Committee which will be inaugurated next week has the former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji M.D Yusuf, as the Chairman, while Mr James Mshelia will serve as Secretary.
In a statement, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Baba Gana Kingibe, said the Committee was in line with the seven point Agenda of President Yar’Adua.
The Committee is expected to examine the present state of the Nigerian Police Force and recommend practical measures for the enhancement of effective Police Service Delivery.
