Kutigi swears in nine Federal High Court judges

Nine new Federal High Court Judges were on Thursday sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Idris Kutigi.
 

Performing the ceremony in Abuja, Justice Kutigi urged the judges to abide strictly by their oath of allegiance.

The nine newly sworn in Federal High Court Judges are, Rilwanu Aikewa, Patricia Irauche, Sale Shuaibu, Agatha Okeke and Zainab Abubakar. Others are Ishaq Sanni, Eyo Chukwu, Inyang Ekwuo and Mohammed Idris.

They all promised not to allow their personal interests becloud their sense of judgement.

Newsmen reports that the brief but colourful ceremony was attended by members of the immediate families, friends and colleagues of the new judges.
