Ebonyi govt procures 22 tractors to boost agriculture

Twenty- two tractors, worth seventy- one million naira have been procured in Ebonyi state to boost agriculture.

Addressing Chairmen of the thirteen local government councils in the state, Governor Martin Elechi observed that many of them were not showing enough interest in agriculture.

He said the tractors were yet to be distributed to the council areas, because those earlier given to them were misused.

According to Government Elechi government would henceforth effectively monitor the use of the tractors to check abuse.

Mr. Hyacinth Nwude, Chairman, Ohaozara local government area, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, promised that they would do their best to transform their areas.
