Okun people calls for federal university

The ‘Okun’ people in Kogi West Senatorial District of Kogi State have called for the establishment of a Federal University in the Area to boost the socio-economic life of the people.

 

Representatives of the people in separate addresses during the annual harvest of the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Kabba and at a reception in honour of the Senate President, Senator David Mark described the absence of a University in the area pointing out that education is an industry which can empower people to be self sufficient.
The Senate President was represented by Senator Tunde Ogbeha.


Governor Ibrahim Idris, in his address urged them to continue to support his administration and pledged to deliver more democratic dividends in the area.
