Jigawa State Govt. approves funds for repairs of schools

The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the release of twenty five million Naira for the repairs of one hundred and forty primary and post primary schools recently destroyed by wind storm in the state.

 

Briefing Newsmen after the Council meeting, the state Commissioner of Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Muntari Biriniwa said the measure was an interim effort to prevent total dilapidation of the affected structures.

The Council also approved twenty eighty million Naira for the payment of examination fees for its registered students at the informatics institute Kazaure.

He explained that about two hundred and eight-six students are expected to benefit form the gesture.
