CBN to set up technical C’ttee to work out intervention securities

For effective liquidity management in the economy, the Central Bank of Nigeria is to set up a technical committee to work out intervention securities to be issued by the Bank.

This was part of the decision of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank.
Briefing newsmen on the outcome of the committee meeting in Abuja, the Governor of Central Bank, Professor Chukwuma Soludo said the measure was to ensure economic stability.
           
The committee expressed concern over the current rate of inflation in the economy.
