Thirty Nigerian Engineers to undergo training on NIASAT-2 Project

About thirty young Nigerian Engineers are to undergo training on the Nigeria Satellite two project in the United Kingdom to enhance their knowledge in space technology.

 

The Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency, Professor Robert Boroffice stated this at a news briefing in Abuja.

The Director-General noted that the Nigeria Satellite one mission control center would be upgraded to assist the proposed Nigeria Satellite two to be launched in 2010.

The project Manager of the Nigeria SAT 2, Mr. Chizia Francis gave an update of the launch.
The Director Space Application, Dr. Joseph Akinyede, said the images of the Satellite have been of immense assistance to international and local agencies.

According to Correspondent available data show that the life span of the Nigeria SAT 1 will extend beyond the five years envisaged.
