In Kano State, three new General Hospitals are to be established as part of efforts to boost Health Care delivery.
Similarly, arrangements have reached advanced stage for the establishment of a Urology Center to be equipped with the state of art equipment.
Governor Ibrahim Shekarau announced this during a Media Forum as part of activities to mark his five years in office.
The Governor explained that work had already commenced at the site of one of the General Hospitals at the cost of one point two billion naira, while work on the other two would commence soon.
According to Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, Government has also recruited over 2,000 health workers made up of Doctors, Nurses and Clinical Assistants.
