Odey appeals for calm from NITEL workers

NITEL staff has been urged to remain calm as efforts are being intensified to pay the salaries owed them.

The Minister of Information and Communications, Mr John Odey made the appeal in Abuja after a close door meeting with the management of NITEL and the staff Union Executives in his office. Mr Odey promised that the Ministry would not relent in its efforts to address the demands of the workers.

The minister said he would keep the workers abreast of the current discussion between NITEL and Transcorp Managements on the salary arrears.
