NASS: Faculty Board commences National Forum for development

A Faculty Board of Initiative of the House of Representatives is to commence a monthly National Forum for the development of the Nigeria economy.

The Head of the Group, Mr Eseme Eyiboh stated this in Abuja when the members visited the  Group, Mr Eseme Eyiboh stated this in Abuja when the members  visited the  Ministry of Information and Communications to brief  the Minister on the benefits of the forum.

Mr Eyiboh pointed out the forum would create an avenue for the legistors to be more relevant to the grassroots.

In his response, the Minister, Mr John Odey said the ministry would assist the legislature to ensure that Nigerians get better services from elected officials.

Correspondent reports that the Initiative currently made-up of twenty members of the House of Representatives seeks to bring to bring the legislature arm of government closer to the people.
