Minister inaugurates C’ttee on procurement

An eight member procurement planning committee has been inaugurated by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Urban Development.

The Committee which has the Permanent Secretary, Mr Otagi Oyegbeni as Chairman, will among others obtain and confirm the validity of job performance as well as plan and organise tenders, evaluation of tenders and execution of all procurement.
Inaugurating the Committee, the Minister of Environment Housing and Urban Development, Mr Halima Tayo told the members that government would strictly monitor the performance of every Department to ensure compliance.
Responding the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry and Chairman of the Committee, Mr Otagi Oyebeni assured that they would discharge the task before them with all sense of responsibility.
