Pick of the Commonwealth
For April’s edition of Pick of the Commonwealth presenter Robin White asks what kind of man is Yusuf Raza Gillani, the new Prime Minister of Pakistan, and will he try to push President Musharraf out of power. He also questions a Kenyan journalist about the power-sharing agreement between its leaders?
Then Robin travels to Mauritius to see the launch of a new broadcasting centre, courtesy of the Chinese, and he goes in search of the devil on tiny York Island off the coast of Sierra Leone. We also hear from an award-winning novelist from Bangladesh, and ask whether men are being sidelined at work and at home.
Pick of the Commonwealth is a 30-minute monthly radio programme, available to all CBA member stations for re-broadcast free of charge. It includes stories and interviews from around the world - putting your listeners in touch with the people and issues that matter. It is available from www.cba.org.uk/pick .
If your station is unable to use downloaded files from this site, please contact Adam Weatherhead at the CBA.
