Nigeria calls on G8 for action plan on Africa’s water challenges

 Nigeria has called on the industrialized countries of G8 to evolve a comprehensive global action plan for the water and sanitation challenges facing Africa.

 

President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua made the call, while contributing to the debate on the theme “Meeting the Millennium Development Goals on Water and Sanitation” of 11th Ordinary African Union which opened in Sharm el Sheikh Egypt.

Correspondent who is attending the summit reports that goodwill message from UN secretary General, the Arab League and the Palestinian Authority were delivered to the summit.
