Kano State has resolved not to dialogue with the National Technical Committee on the review of constituencies setups by INEC until adequate arrangements have been made.
The State spokesman, Alhaji Magaji Danbatta disclosed this position at government House Kano, when members of the Committee visited the state in continuation of their visit to four States in the country.
He said the stand of the State Government on the issue had to do with the hasty way in which INEC is going about the exercise.
Alhaji Magaji explained that the review of constituencies is a complex matter which required in-depth study of population figure and demography among others.
In a remark Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State said, State Government supported the representation made by Alhaji Magaji Danbatta says the position was a unanimous decision of the people of the State.
In his speech, the leader of the team, INEC National Commissioner, Dr. Mohammed Jumare said they were in the State to interact with relevant stakeholders in the Electoral Constituencies delineated twelve years ago.
