UNESCO quiz competition commences

UNESCO Special Science quiz competition for primary and secondary schools opened in Abuja today.

The competition was declared open by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr Umaru Aji.

He said the Special Science competition was designed to encourage the study, teaching and development of science in the country.

Correspondent reports that the competition will last till Friday, when winners will emerge to represent their various states at the national and international levels.

The Permanent Secretary was represented by Mrs Chinyere Uzoka, a Deputy Director in the Ministry.
