ChairmanOsadebe’s burialC’ttee solicits support from FRCN
The Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria,
PMAN and well wishers of the late highlife music maestro Chief Osita Osadebe are to launch a highlife foundation to celebrate the life of the music icon.
The Chairman of Chief Osadebe’s burial committee, Mr Chris Agukwe stated this when he led a three-man delegation to the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in Abuja.
Mr Agukwe who solicited the support of the Corporation in publicising the celebration of the late music legends life explained that he recorded seventy-five Albums in his life time.
Responding, the Director General of FRCN represented by the Director News, Mr Reginald Okochi described the late highlife musician as a nationalist whose music was enjoyed by all ethnic groups in the country.
While pledging the support of the Corporation, he said a special programme would be dedicated to the life and times of the highlife King.
As part of the celebration, a night of tribute to the late icon will be held in Abuja next Tuesday while a carnival will precede his interment in his hometown Ogbaru in Anambra State, next Friday.
