Odusote advocates creation of IT cadre in public service

advised to facilitate the creation of Information Technology cadre in the nation’s public service to attract competent hands.

In an interview with correspondent in Abuja, the Head Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Information and Communication, Mrs Ibukun Odusote observed that only five ministries and the state house had created (IT) Departments.

Mrs Odusote attributed the inability of some government agencies to update their websites regularly tot eh fact the sites are controlled by third parties and unqualified people.

On the provision of online virtual library by the Ministry of Information and Technology Mrs Odusote promised that it would be realized before the middle of this year.

She said the Ministry stopped the translation of news about Nigeria into sixteen International Languages pm the government website because of the huge financial commitment and other logistics.
